How it works
1
Answer honestly
Find a quiet moment and respond as you actually are, not as you wish to be. There are no right answers, and nothing you select is judged.
2
Get your profile
Your responses are scored against validated norms the moment you finish. You see where you stand, explained in plain language, with no waiting.
3
Turn insight into action
Every result comes with grounded, realistic suggestions for what to do next — and clear guidance on when it makes sense to talk to a professional.
Built on psychometric science
Every Numbershine test is developed by licensed psychologists and built on established, peer-reviewed scales. Before a test is published, we examine its reliability and validity against accepted psychometric standards. If a test does not measure what it claims to measure, it does not go live.
- Validated instruments — Built on established, peer-reviewed psychological scales.
- Reliability tested — Checked for internal consistency and stability over time.
- Clinically grounded — Developed and reviewed by licensed psychologists.
- Transparent scoring — Scored against published norms and explained in plain language.
Online psychological testing you can trust
Free psychological self-tests online
Our free self-tests are available instantly, in private, and without an account. You can take a stress test to gauge your current load, an anxiety test built on established screening scales, or a self-esteem test that examines how your sense of self-worth is formed. Each takes about five minutes and returns a scored, plainly explained result.
AI-driven psychological assessment
For a fuller picture, our AI-driven psychological assessment pairs a structured clinical-style interview with a psychometric test battery tailored to your answers. Licensed psychologists designed the process and supervise how it is scored and reported, and every assessment concludes with a comprehensive written report. You can read exactly how it works on the AI psychological assessment page.
Grounded in psychometric research
Every instrument we publish is evaluated for reliability and validity before release, and results are scored against published norms rather than arbitrary cut-offs. Licensed psychologists develop, review and maintain each test. Where the evidence behind a scale is not strong enough, we simply do not publish it — a slower way to build a testing platform, but the defensible one.
eliminate unhelpful psychological processes and improve quality of life through a better understanding of self.

Frequently asked questions
Are the tests really free?
Yes. All self-tests on Numbershine are free, with no account required and no hidden costs. We also offer one paid service — the AI psychological assessment — which is clearly marked and entirely optional.
How accurate are the tests?
Each test is built on established, validated psychological scales and checked for reliability before it is published. That said, any self-report test is a structured snapshot, not a complete picture — results are most useful as a starting point for reflection, not a final verdict.
What happens to my answers?
Your responses are treated as sensitive health-related data. They are stored securely, processed in line with GDPR, never sold, and never shared with advertisers. You can complete every free test without creating an account.
Is this a diagnosis?
No. These tests are screening and self-insight tools — they can point to patterns worth paying attention to, but they cannot diagnose any condition. A diagnosis can only be made by a licensed clinician after a proper clinical evaluation. If a result worries you, please bring it to a professional.
When will the remaining tests launch?
The stress, anxiety and self-worth tests are free and available now. Tests of intelligence, attention and personality patterns are in development — each is being validated for reliability and accuracy before release, and we will not publish them until they meet psychometric standards. The AI psychological assessment is available now.
How is the AI assessment different from the free tests?
Each free self-test measures one area — stress, anxiety or self-worth — using a single validated scale, and takes about five minutes. The AI assessment is our paid, in-depth service: a structured interview conducted by AI, followed by a tailored battery of psychometric tests, resulting in a comprehensive written report across attention, personality patterns, intelligence, mood and stress. It is designed and supervised by licensed psychologists and offers a much fuller picture — though, like the free tests, it is not a clinical diagnosis.
What should I do if my results worry me?
Start by remembering that a screening result is information, not a verdict — it reflects how you answered on one day, not who you are. If a result troubles you, or it matches difficulties you have been noticing in daily life, we encourage you to discuss it with your general practitioner or a licensed psychologist. Bringing the result along can be a helpful starting point for that conversation. And if you are in acute distress, please contact your doctor, local emergency services or a crisis line without delay.
Can children and young people use Numbershine?
Numbershine is designed for adults, young people and children. If you are under 18, you may only use the tests and the assessment together with a parent or guardian who supervises throughout. Many parents complete the questions with their child and find the conversation it starts valuable in itself.
