What personal data we collect and why
Contact and booking forms
When you contact us or book an assessment through a form on this site, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, and message. We use it to respond to you and to arrange the service you requested. Form submissions are sent to us by email and are not published on the website.
Free self-tests
Our free self-tests are designed to be answered anonymously. When they launch, your answers will be scored on your device or in your browser session and will not be linked to your name or email address unless we clearly ask for it and you agree. We may keep anonymised, aggregated response data to check and improve the reliability of the tests.
AI psychological assessment
The paid assessment involves a structured interview and psychological questionnaires. The answers you give are health-related data and therefore a special category of personal data under the GDPR. We process them only with your explicit consent, given before the assessment starts, and only to produce your assessment report. Interview and test responses are processed by the AI language-model providers we use as data processors, under data processing agreements. Your data is never sold and is never used to advertise to you.
Children and young people
Numbershine can be used by adults, young people and children — but visitors under 18 may only use the tests and the assessment together with, and supervised by, a parent or guardian. Where an assessment concerns a person under 18, we process that data only with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian, who completes the assessment together with the child. If we become aware that personal data has been submitted by someone under 18 without parental involvement, we will delete it.
Cookies
This website sets only the technical cookies needed to function. If you log in (site administrators), WordPress sets login cookies that expire after at most two weeks. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy and a consent banner will be updated first.
Embedded content
Pages may occasionally include embedded content from other websites (for example videos). Embedded content behaves as if you had visited that website, which may collect data about you and use its own cookies.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run this website and deliver the assessment: our web hosting provider, our email provider, and — for the AI assessment only — the AI language-model providers that process interview and questionnaire responses under a data processing agreement. Where a provider is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or EU standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent personal data.
How long we keep your data
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for up to 12 months afterwards. Assessment data and reports are kept for the period required to deliver the service and meet our legal obligations, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time — see your rights below.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, www.datatilsynet.dk.
How we protect your data
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to the website's administration is restricted and protected against repeated login attempts, and assessment data is only accessible to the people who need it to deliver the service.
Automated decision-making
The AI assessment produces a written report generated with the help of AI, designed and supervised by licensed psychologists. It is not a formal diagnosis, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effect is made about you by automated means. The report itself states its limits.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it — for example when the free tests launch or if we add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
