Making a meaningful psychological diagnosing requires a combination of statistics and structured interview. The ICD 11 is build upon statistics of what is "normal" or most frequently occurring. People who are outside of the "normal" spectrum are often candidates for a diagnosis. Assessing how a person fits within the diagnostic guides for normality requires a structured interview that catches the real functioning of the person being assessed. Thus, asking multiple questions that taps into the same area of concern is common - and best - practice.
An AI excels in both statistics and structure. The synthesised combination offers a potentially meaningful insight into the psyche. We are still at the beginning and law and health regulations have not yet made it possible to make valid diagnosis' in this way. Built on ICD-11, the current standard
Everything Numbershine reports is framed in ICD-11, the World Health Organization's newest classification of mental and behavioural conditions, in effect since 2022. It is the reference used by the Danish health service and by clinicians across most of the world.
The choice matters in a practical way: results written in current clinical language keep their value. You can bring your report to a doctor or a psychologist and be understood at once, and nothing in it needs translating from an outdated framework.
